What we do

Who is EQuIP?

EQuIP are a charity providing support, advice and training to people across Warwickshire to combat discrimination.

We work alongside local groups, businesses and organisations, helping to build understanding and cohesion throughout our community through individual support and advice, group learning and tailored training courses.

We cover everything from equality to radicalisation

EQuIP are here to provide support, advice and training on a huge range of issues relating to discrimination, equality and community cohesion.

Cultural Awareness

The UK is a culturally diverse place with many different communities living together and it is therefore important to recognise and understand that we all have different values shaped by our diverse cultural backgrounds.

Our Process

Why should I take action?

If you’ve been a victim of or a witness to discrimination, there is always something you can do about it. If you make a report to EQuIP it gives us valuable information, but more importantly, it means that we can give you the advice and support that you need.

Have Your Say - national Police Race Action Plan

The Police Race Action Plan sets out the changes the Police intend to make to improve outcomes for Black people working in or interacting with policing across the UK. We are keen to ensure that people in Warwickshire have opportunity to provide feedback on the national plan.

Knowing Your Masala From Your Spice

EQuIP has been funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner to work in partnership with Compass, to run joint sessions in the diverse communities and faith groups of Warwickshire to raise awareness of drug abuse, its long term impact and County Lines in the county.

Healthy Minds for all Warks of Life

EQuIP is running a new project, Healthy Minds for All Warks of Life. We are currently engaging with a selected range of diverse community groups, asking for their feedback on mental health, issues, fears and concerns regarding mental health and emotional wellbeing, and any identifying any barriers.

Airport Harassment - EQuIP Case Study

Case Studies

Airport Harassment

A client was referred to EQuIP by the CAB after experiencing racial harassment from an airport staff member when returning to the UK with his family. Through EQuIP’s intervention the matter was resolved out of court, and the client received a financial settlement for injury to feelings caused by the discrimination.
