EQuIP, a leading equality charity based in the heart of Warwickshire, invites you to become a vital part of our mission as a Volunteer Development Officer.

As our Volunteer Development Officer you'll use your strong partnership working skills to strengthen and co-ordinate the VCS support offer available to refugees and asylum seekers across Warwickshire. This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to lead, inspire, and empower both volunteers and the communities they serve.

What We Offer:

  • Meaningful Impact: Your work will directly contribute to fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and support for those most in need. Office base is in Rugby, however the postholder will be required to work and travel to all parts of Warwickshire.
  • Competitive Salary: Earn £28,282 per annum while working 37.5 hours per week. Fixed term contract for 24 months with the potential for further extension.

  • Dynamic Environment: Collaborate closely with Warwickshire County Council’s Migration Team and a network of established support groups and dedicated volunteers, amplifying your impact and reach.

Your Role:

As our Volunteer Development Officer, you'll be at the forefront of change, coordinating activities, providing essential support, and promoting best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in educational initiatives and advocacy campaigns
  • Coordinating voluntary and community sector activities across various resettlement schemes
  • Providing training and capacity-building support to volunteer groups
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers to fulfil essential roles
  • Encouraging Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and migrants to access volunteering opportunities

Your Profile: We're looking for someone with:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers
  • Understanding of migration programmes and related issues
  • Experience in community development or capacity building
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and work outside of normal working hours, where required
