Our Projects

Kind Communities - Kind Food

13 February in Mancetter near Atherstone in North Warwickshire

EQuIP is working in partnership with Warwickshire County Council to discuss and share information on how we can improve affordability and sustainability of healthier food supplies, programmes to support healthy living and reducing health inequalities, talking about food insecurities – the role of food banks and community pantries, and how the local food supply can help Warwickshire become more sustainable.

After two very successful events in Nuneaton and Leamington SPa in 2023, we are kicking off 2024 with a series of additonal events demonstrating health food options, and sustainable access to food locally. The first is in North Warwickshire  to coincide with Half Term week on Tuesday 13 February from 11am to 3pm at the Mancetter Memorial Hall, Old Farm Road, Mancetter CV9 1QN

Free tickets are available  - please register so we know how many will be attending:  Register with Eventbrite here

The event will include:

  • Watch live cooking demonstrations of exciting recipes to try at home
  • Get a free health check and information about healthy living
  • Limited slow cookers and sustainable cooking aids giveaway
  • Register to become a 'Food Champion' volunteer to promote local food sources
  • Free refreshments, snacks and goody bags
